About This Performance:

The Chamber Orchestra and Music Director Dirk Brossé return to the Perelman Theater with Beethoven’s triumphant Symphony No. 3, “Eroica”. The concert opens with a world premiere from Steven R. Gerber Composer-in-Residence Nathan Bales which brilliantly plays with the sounds and melodies of Beethoven’s symphony in a companion piece written especially for our ensemble. Brazilian-American soprano Sophia Hunt brings her “clean, rich, and lush sound” (American Vocal Arts) to Beethoven’s powerful, show stopping concert aria Ah! perfido.
